Hello, and welcome to June’s European Edtech News!
The European Edtech Alliance has been busy this month. Thank you for taking part in our various initiatives to support the growth of the European Edtech sector, and to connect and strengthen the pan-European Edtech ecosystem. In our last newsletter before summer we share remarkable news like the advent of the 2nd European EdTech Unicorn, a sign that, even though we see a clear recession slowing down investments, things are still moving in the Edtech space. We launched the New Ukrainian School Hub with high profile support from the European Commission and are excited to see our Edtech Map growing. Just in time for Summer, we are reading the newly released Finnish Edtech report, diving into the vibrant edtech scene in Finland. Enjoy! ☀️
The European Edtech Map is growing!
We are so thrilled to see that more than 1175 companies from 28 European countries are listed on our European Edtech Map. The European EdTech scene is vibrant and fast growing, and we are working to make all the efforts in this space more visible. Feel free to use our filters to find companies in your field with whom you want to explore synergies.
If you want to appear on the map, it's never too late! Just fill out the form here!
Ukrainian School Hub
On the 1st of June we launched the New Ukrainian School Hub, a free, central hub collating educational resources and knowledge, with the support of the European Commission under Commissioner Gabriel. The high-profile platform has been shared with all EU Ministries and supports Ukrainian refugees both within and outside of Ukraine. Make sure your resources are part of this important work and help us get the word out, so it reaches all teachers and students in need. To add resources click here!
EdTechXEurope 2022
We enjoyed seeing so many well-known innovators in the edtech space in London last week and being introduced to so many more! Our first chair, Svenia Busson led important discussions on funding, investments and the state of the European Edtech landscape and our managing director, Beth Havinga, was joined by initiatives supporting Ukrainian learners to question what edtech’s role in situations like this can and should be. Make sure to register for next year!
