CoSN´s Driving K-12 Innovation
We are glad to share with you both CoSN’s Driving K-12 Innovation: 2023 Hurdles + Accelerators and Tech Enablers reports that were formally released yesterday. Our Managing Director Beth Havinga is an Advisory Board Member for this year's Driving K-12 Innovation project, saying that “the Rich Digital Ecosystem approach must be a priority when defining learning and teaching environments, tools and possibilities.” Find out what this means and get more insights by reading the reports.

From idea to scalable AI business in 12 weeks with Campus Founders

The Open University offers 280k to help Edtech Companies develop new products
The Open University (OU) has launched a new online start-up incubator to support businesses that produce educational technology to enhance the learning experience. The EdTech Foundry will give small to medium-sized businesses access to the expertise of academics from the OU’s renowned Institute of Educational Technology, as well as a proportion of a £280,000 funding pot. Some could receive as much as £50,000 each to help take their business to the next stage. Applications for the EdTech Foundry are open until 1 March 2023. Get more info here!

Learnetic, an EdTech company in the sector of technologies and services dedicated to educational publishing prepared a global survey on the Digital Transformation of the K-12 Educational Publishing Business to write a comprehensive report that will help draw a worldwide map of digital transformation and create an educational ePublishing roadmap for the next 5 years.
Moomin Language School has been shortlisted for BETT Awards 2023 in the category "Early Years – Digital Product or Service" and started a collaboration with FORTE kindergarten chain in the Netherlands to introduce English to their 3-4-year-olds.
Finnish Kide Science is a TOP 7 Finalist in the SXSWEdu in Texas
Astrid, a Swedish AI-powered language learning app, signed a deal with the Mongolian Government reaching 400.000 students to boost opportunities for the country’s young population.
Finnish Eduten Ltd, the provider of a globally recognized digital learning platform and the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia (MoES) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve the state of mathematics education in Mongolia.
Google and Code School Finland bring coding to 15.000 students in Europe by expanding their cooperation in teacher training
Acquisitions
Swedish EdTech company Albert acquired two Swedish EdTech businesses, Film och Skola and Strawbees, along with Holy Owly, a language learning EdTech from France for a total of 14m €
Italian Jakala acquired all 'Consultancy' activities of H-Farm, which focuses on Education, for 38m €
